Brief biography
Rung-Ching Chen received the B.S. degree from department of electrical engineering in 1987, and the M. S. degree from the institute of computer engineering in 1990, both from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taipei, Taiwan. In 1998, he received the Ph.D. degree from the department of applied mathematics in computer science sessions, National Chung Tsing University. He is now a professor at the Department of Information Management in Chaoyang University of Technology, Taichung, Taiwan. He was also the president of Taiwanese Association for Consumer Electronics since December, 2012. and Dean of College of Informatics in Chaoyang University of Technology from 2007 to July 2015. He has been a Fellow of IET since July, 2011. He was a visiting Professor at University of Central Florida, U.S.A. in 2012. He got a PMP(Project Management Professional) certification in 2013. His research interests include networks technology, domain ontology, pattern recognition and knowledge engineering.
